International nights

Every wednesday night all of the international students doing electives at CMC have dinner on top of the darling hotel in downtown vellore. The food is spectacular, as it's one of the few places in town we can get north Indian food as well as fresh vegetables (only tomatoes, but still).

But the best part is meeting with all the international students. There are two others from the USA, and many from England, Australia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, and Uganda. Even got to practice some German with two students from Munich.

We are going to travel with some of them this weekend to a town on the coast called mamallapuram, which is also near a wildlife sanctuary and reportedly has the ruins of a submerged temple.

Oh and if you have heard about the tsunami warnings, don't worry, vellore is very far inland. Let's hope it doesn't cause much damage to those closer to the water.
