Differences in Indian healthcare #3

Altered doctor patient boundaries:

I have a difficult time imaging a patient in America opening the doctors office after he leaves to leaf through the medical records, but that is exactly what happens in India.

Patients are constantly bursting through the curtain (no doors) to ask the doctor more questions about their case, or inquire as to when he or she will be able to see their family member. And yes, when the doctor leaves the office, the people nearest to the front of the line pull back the curtain and flip through the files on the desk to see where they are in line.
